My teaching practice is an extension of my art practice, rooted in the belief that everyone is an artist. Art is an inherently human endeavor, woven into our biology and fundamental to how we express, explore, and connect. In the art studio, I emphasize the process - experimentation and exploration -  over the final product. Mistakes become stepping stones to discovery and innovation. Such unexpected detours can create new opportunities. We celebrate the artworks that emerge - not just for their aesthetic value, but as a means of building confidence and embracing growth.

As an art educator, I strive to cultivate a self-aware way of thinking, recognizing my own biases and intentionally stepping beyond them to embrace new perspectives. This practice allows me to learn as much as I teach. I practice an engaged pedagogy, encouraging active participation, dialogue, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Above all, I work to create an inclusive space where every participant feels valued, their ideas and creative process integral to our shared experience. Our studio is more than a place to make art—it is a joyful place, a celebration of creativity, a collaboration of community, and therefore, a catalyst for social change.
